Year 8 Geography Trip to Lyme Regis
It was an absolute pleasure to take out Year 8 to Lyme Regis on the Jurassic Coast for a geography fieldwork experience. Students learned about the £20 million sea defences installed at the Dorset seaside town and investigated the impact of tourism on the area.
Students showed great resilience completing lots of activities throughout the day. Staff were incredibly proud to see the confidence shown by students when asking members of the public their opinion about the sea defences at Lyme Regis for their questionnaire activity. There were certainly a range of responses and it was great to see student confidence increase during the session in a real-world environment.
