Table Cricket with the Somerset Cricket Foundation
This term, we have had the pleasure of welcoming Will Anning from the Somerset Cricket Foundation into school. Will has been running Table Cricket sessions for some of our Year 8 and Year 9 students, introducing them to this exciting version of the game.
Table Cricket, an adapted form of cricket, is played on a table tennis table with teams of six taking turns to bat and bowl. It’s a game of strategy, where batters aim to hit the ball into designated scoring zones while avoiding carefully positioned fielders. Bowlers use a ramp to deliver the ball, adding an extra layer of skill and precision to the game.
Our students have absolutely loved the sessions, showing fantastic enthusiasm and engagement throughout. A huge thank you to Will for his time and expertise—we look forward to more Table Cricket fun in the future!
