Successful afternoon for our girls' cricket teams!
Our U13 and U15 girl cricket teams had a brilliant afternoon at Wembdon CC last week playing against schools from across the County in their softball tournament.
The U13 girls were absolutely fantastic and showed improvements in their games across the day. We finished as winner of our pool, which meant we went into the 1st/2nd play off against Holyrood. The girls finished as runners up and now await to hear if they have made it to the County ground for the Finals Day.
The U15s put on a wonderful display of cricket across the whole squad, with some exciting and closely contested wins throughout the day. The girls finished 3rd overall. The girls had to coach and organise themselves throughout parts of the day, which is no mean feat. They were EXCEPTIONAL at this - mature, supportive, kind and resilient.
A special mention to Darcey for her captaincy and for taking on a huge amount of the responsibility. The PE department are proud and grateful. A second mention to Lyra for her incredible catch of the day!
