Moment of Remembrance on Battlefields Trip

Our Year 9 & Year 10 students took part in a moving ceremony of remembrance at the Menin Gate in Ypres during their Battlefields Trip. Our students, along with Mr Williams, laid a wreath from Haygrove School in honour of Gerald Bishop, who attended our school when it was Dr Morgan's and fought in WWI. Gerald Bishop served in both Gallipoli and Passchendaele where he died in 1917. He is named on the Menin Gate, a memorial to 55,000 missing soldiers who died in the Ypres Salient for whom there is no known grave.
