Geography field trip to Bristol

Year 10 Geographers had a fantastic fieldtrip in Bristol. They took a boat tour and learned about urban regeneration along Bristol Harborside before investigating the recent changes around Temple Quarter, including an old cattle market and glass factory. We also saw the ongoing construction of the new University of Bristol campus.

Students carried out an Environmental Quality Survey (EQS) and a pedestrian count at four sites to evaluate the changes on the area. They will now follow up in class to process and present the data, before evaluating the entire day as part of their human fieldwork investigation for their GCSE Paper 3.

Mr Rogers and Mr Walters were pleased to see Year 10s exhibiting curiosity, confidence, and respect in a busy urban environment and we look forward to the River Holford trip later this year.
