Leading up to the end of term, every Year 7 tutor group was set the challenging task of learning a blues song to perform in front of the rest of the year as part of the annual Year 7 Blues Off! On the penultimate week of term, Year 7 sat in the hall to witness the brilliant hard work each group had put in to learning new music.
The performances were judged by a panel of staff which included Head of Year Miss Gregg who was very proud and impressed with everybody’s stellar performance. Judges were looking at the individual sections of the ensemble as well as how the groups sounded as a whole band. Our congratulations go to 7K for the Best Performance, closely followed by 7L and 7M!
Getting up on stage in front of such a large group of people is not easy. It was fantastic to see everyone so keen to get up on stage and give it their all. A huge well done to everyone that tried something new, worked brilliantly as a team and of course for demonstrating magnificent musical talent!
